The 7- level Pari Mahal also known as house of angels is nestled in the mountains. The three mughal gardens Chashme shahi, Shalimar garden and nishat bagh are located close to each other and can be done one after another. Pari Mahal is located above Chasme shahi and takes about 20 min to reach being located in hills. There is nothing interesting to see in the monument and gardens surrounding it as compared to mughal gardens of Srinagar. But still Pari Mahal is a don’t miss because of the bird’s eye view of Srinagar it has. From 2nd and 3rd level you can take great pictures with mountains at back and dal lake at front. It has six levels with garden on all floors. Worth visiting! Don’t miss.

The garden of pari mahal is not that great as of mughal gardens of Srinagar. But this garden is different with a historic monument and gardens surrounding it. This garden is small but the view from this garden is best among all the gardens. Located almost at hilltop it offers panoramic view of dal lake, nigeen lake and whole Srinagar on one side and the zabarwan range of mountains on one side. Watching sunset here is magnificent. If you are into photography, you are going to adore this and create some amazing pictures. Don’t skip this garden and visit this for at least an hour

Pari Mahal is also known as “House of Fairies(Pari’s)” is a garden with beautiful spring in the middle overlooking dal lake. The structure of this garden is different from other gardens of Srinagar. The sight of colorful flowers and exotic fruits fills your heart with joy. This garden has historic monument which was a Buddhist monastery ages ago. If you are visiting shankaracharya temple srinagar, you can skip pari mahal. The view from the temple and Pari Mahal is almost the same. The reason what makes pari mahal a must visit is the view from here. As far as garden is concerned mughal gardens are better. So, if you are visiting Shankaracharya temple then you can give this place a miss and enjoy the view from temple. But if you are not visiting the temple as it requires climbing some 100 number of steep stairs then you must visit Pari mahal. It is not bad idea to visit both if you have ample amount of time though. But if you are not too keen to visit temple, Pari mahal has better views and feel.

Pari Mahal is perhaps the oldest mahal in Srinagar. It is surrounded by beautiful and colorful flora. The ancient walls and doors take back you to history. We felt like relaxing and spending some time here. We visited this garden at last among all the gardens of Srinagar. We visited it in evening and enjoyed the sunset here with cool breeze. This is less crowded too and feels great to end your day at Pari Mahal. Apart from that you can get some good sandwiches and other snacks at eating points outside pari mahal. You can find some small road side shops outside mahal to buy cap, scarf’s etc. Pari Mahal is one of the best places in Srinagar.
